Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic said on Friday he would run in the forthcoming parliamentary election and that he would top the list of independent candidates under the name "Stijena" ("Rock").
Announcing his candidacy at a news conference at Bundek Lake, Bandic said that he had decided to run in the next polls given that the existing elite did not offer solutions, adding that he was a man with the know-how.
"I want to be at the helm of workers, the jobless, pensioners and young people and give them back prospects," Bandic said.
Other members of his list will be presented at a later date.
