Since 2008 more jobs have been lost than created in Croatia and this trend will reach its peak in February or March 2013, Labour Minister Mirando Mrsic said on Wednesday commenting on information that the number of jobless in Croatia has exceeded 350,000.
We opened more jobs this year than in 2012, but it was not enough to stop the unemployment growth. Unemployment will continue to grow until February or March when it will be the highest, however this is a reflection of the deep crisis in Croatia, Mrsic said.
The minister believes this trend will change in the second half of 2013, saying that he expected unemployment figures to be significantly reduced in 2014.
