Josipovic on Monday to call parliamentary elections for 4 December

Following Friday's decision by the sixth Croatian parliament on its dissolution, President Ivo Josipovic will on Monday call a parliamentary election for 4 December, in accordance with his constitutional and legal powers, reads a statement issued by the Office of the President on Friday.

President Josipovic has held consultations by telephone with parliamentary parties' leaders and in line with the outcome of the consultations, he has decided to set the next parliamentary polls for 4 December 2011, the statement said.

On Wednesday, November 2, Josipovic will address the nation on the situation in the country and call on eligible voters to go to the polls for the election. The message will be delivered at 1930 hours.
