The Croatian law on the application of the European Arrest Warrant (EAW) is not on the agenda of the next European Commission meeting, which is scheduled to take place in Strasbourg on Tuesday, Commission spokeswoman Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen said on Monday.

I don't think that issue will be discussed at the meeting of the college of commissioners which takes place in Strasbourg tomorrow. Last week we explained which stage we were at and that has not changed. We expect Croatia to honour what it has said it will do. We have received guarantees that action will be taken to ensure that our demands are met and we expect it to happen swiftly, the spokeswoman said.

Last week Commission spokesman Olivier Bailly said that the Commission expected Croatia to align its EAW law with EU legislation swiftly and unconditionally.
