Troops within Croatia's 17th contingent in the ISAF mission to Afghanistan and their Slovenian colleagues on Saturday celebrated the statehood days of Croatia and Slovenia, which both countries observe on June 25, the Croatian Defence Ministry said on Monday.
The troops were congratulated by the NATO Training Mission Afghanistan commander, US Major General James Mallory, and the commander of the Combined Training Advisory Group, Brigadier General David Maddan of Great Britain.
The Croatian troops are deployed as mentors at the military police academy in Kabul. There are 17 Croatian and two Slovenian mentors.
