More than 70 Croatian business people representing 45 leading Croatian companies took part in a business forum in Pristina on Wednesday, discussing mostly investment conditions and new deals with Kosovo firms.

Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor, who also attended the event, spoke about the importance of economic cooperation between Croatia and Kosovo, noting that Croatian companies operating in Kosovo already had excellent experiences.

Kosovo has a market economy and investors from all countries are welcome here, said Kosovo PM Hashim Thaci, greeting business people attending the forum. He called on Croatian investors to invest in Kosovo, promising his government's support.

During PM Kosor's visit to Pristina today, two bilateral agreements were signed - a protocol on cooperation in the process of European integration and an agreement on international road transport of passengers and cargo. PM Kosor said the latter agreement would create new opportunities for economic cooperation between the two countries.

Earlier in the day, Kosor and Thaci held talks after which they took a walk in downtown Pristina, stopping for a coffee in one of the many bars.

Also today, Kosor met Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Slobodan Petrovic, who thanked her for her visit which he said would contribute to peace and stability.

Petrovic said Kosor's visit was also important for the Serb community in Kosovo and thanked her for promoting the rights of ethnic minorities, adding that Croatia's experience with minorities was the main reason why Kosovo Serbs decided to participate in the work of Kosovo institutions.

Kosor said that Croatia supported Kosovo as a country in which the rights of all citizens were respected. She also mentioned the example of the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danube River region, reiterating that Croatia supported the restoration of dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.
