A part of Croatia's airspace was closed on Sunday due to the arrival of new volcanic ash clouds from Iceland, which forced Croatia Airlines to redirect two flights.

A Zagreb-Zadar-Pula flight scheduled for 2 pm was changed to a direct flight to Pula, while a Zagreb-Split-Rome flight, scheduled for 2.35 pm, was changed to a direct flight to Rome.

Passengers travelling to Zadar and Split, whose flights were cancelled, will be put on the first available flights to those cities or they will be reimbursed if they cancel their flights.

Croatia Airlines said it would issue a statement with the latest information on the situation in air traffic later this evening.

More information on the Croatia Airlines flight schedule is available on the airline's website www.croatiaairlines.com.
