Croatia beats Tunisia to reach handball semifinals

Ivan Cupic scored eight goals and helped two-time gold medalist Croatia battle its way past Tunisia and into the semifinals of the London Olympics men’s handball competition.

Croatia trailed 12-11 at halftime Wednesday, but outscored the African champions in the second half for a 25-23 win.
 
Tunisia lost key defender Heykel Megannem after 25 minutes with a red card for foul play against Cupic.
 
Croatia will play defending champion France for a place in Sunday’s final.
