The Zagreb Stock Exchange on Tuesday suspended trading in ordinary shares of the construction company Ingra until noon, after Ingra failed to deposit with the Central Depository and Clearing Company money for the capital amount of commercial bills due for payment today.

The Zagreb Stock Exchange said trading in Ingra shares was suspended so the public could obtain complete and precise information on the matter, since the latest developments were expected to have a significant impact on the price of the company's stock.

Ingra informed the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency and the Zagreb Stock Exchange that it was unable to redeem the 13th tranche of commercial bills in the nominal amount of 4.04 million euros, noting that its due claims from the state, the City of Zagreb and public companies exceeded 45 million kuna (approx. EUR 5.96 million).

The company said it was working on a number of alternative solutions in order to fulfil its financial obligations as soon as possible.

The last transaction involving Ingra shares this morning was at a price of HRK 6.3, 1.4 percent less than on Monday.
