Croatian President Ivo Josipovic told Croatian Television on Sunday evening that the agenda for a session of the National Security Council, which he called for Tuesday, was still being defined, adding that in his opinion the session should be attended only by members of the council.

"It is important to define the agenda, and my opinion is that the central topic must be protecting human rights and securing independent work of state bodies - police, the state prosecutor's office and the judiciary," Josipovic said, adding that the government proposal was more about the protection of institutions from outside pressure.

Asked if the Chief State Prosecutor, Mladen Bajic, should be questioned in connection with the statement by former deputy PM Damir Polancec, Josipovic said that Bajic most definitely should be questioned if a serious investigation was launched.
