At the end of November, 347,047 unemployed persons were registered with the Croatian Employment Service (HZZ), which was 4.1% or 13,647 more than in October and 14.9% or 44,967 more than in November 2011, the HZZ reported on Monday.
Of that number 35,209 were newly registered, or 8.8% more than in November last year, and 24,855 of those registered had lost their jobs.
The HZZ said that 21,562 were struck from the register, which was 10.6% fewer than November last year. Of that number 12,366 found employment.
Of those registered with the Employment Service, 80,131 people were eligible for unemployment benefits, which was 14.1% more than for the same month last year.
