The registered unemployment rate in Croatia in October was 19.6%, the Bureau of Statistics (DZS) reported on Thursday.
That is a rise of 1.3% compared to September. Year on year however, this is 1.7% up compared to October last year when unemployment was 17.9%.
The registered unemployment rate calculated by the DZS accounts for the number of unemployed persons registered with the Employment Service (HZZ) in ratio to the number of working age population.
DZS registered 333,400 unemployed persons in October. Currently the number of unemployed persons according to the DZS web site which releases daily updates stands at 344,083.
