The remains of 3,786 Croatian soldiers and civilians have been exhumed so far from 143 mass and more than 1,200 individual graves, and the remains of 3,229 of those people have been identified and buried, according to information from the department for missing and detained persons of the Ministry of Family Affairs, War Veterans and Inter-generational Solidarity.

Croatia is still looking for 999 people gone missing in the military aggression in 1991/92, and for 805 people gone missing in the Croatian army and police operations "Flash" and "Storm" in 1995. Of the 999 people gone missing in 1991/92, 448 are from the eastern Vukovar-Srijem County, including 306 from the city of Vukovar.
