Quake jolts Zagreb, Lika and Kvarner

A moderate earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale shook a wider area of Zagreb and the regions of Kvarner and Lika at 14.58 hours Tuesday, Croatia's seismology office reported after the quake.

The epicentre was some 15 kilometres northeast of Senj.

There have been no reports so far of possible damage.

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre also reported on the earthquake in Croatia, saying that the magnitude of the quake was 4.6 on the Richter scale and that the epicentre was 102 km southwest of Zagreb.
