The Italian-German-Swiss film "The Four Times", directed by Michelangelo Frammartino, was given special recognition.

The Bauer award for film of the year in the region went to the Croatian film "The Blacks", directed by Goran Devic and Zvonimir Juric.

The Swiss-German film "Balls", directed by Chris Niemeyer, captured the Motovun Online award for best short film.

The FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics) award went to Frammartino's "The Four Times", while the Corruption-Free award, which is awarded in collaboration with the human rights watchdog Transparency International, was given to the French film "In the Beginning", directed by Xavier Giannoli.
