Croatia's discus thrower Sandra Perkovic won the women's discus throw event in the Diamond League contest in Monte Carlo on Friday, whereby she became the overall winner of that event in this year's Diamond League.
Two weeks ahead of the Olympic Games, Perkovic's winning throw was 65.29 metres. Nadine Mueller of Germany was second-ranked with 64.64 metres and Cuban Yarelis Barrios third with 64.49 metres.
