Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor said after talks with Kosovo PM Hashim Thaci in Pristina on Wednesday that Croatia supported everything that German Chancellor Angela Merkel said in Belgrade this week and that it was willing to support the establishment of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

"We support everything German Chancellor Angela Merkel said in Belgrade and Croatia, as a leader in the region, is willing to help with the establishment of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina," Kosor said, adding, "We support the territorial integrity of Kosovo, provided that all citizens have equal rights."

"In Croatia you can have the biggest friend in Southeast Europe and you can always count on that," Kosor said, adding that the two countries had strengthened their friendship also in "the fight against the tyrant Slobodan Milosevic and Greater Serbia aspirations."

"We showed determination about that. Therefore, we welcome all your attempts to build a stable system and establish peace," Kosor said, adding that Croatia would strongly support Kosovo's European road. "We didn't impose, but as leaders we can help in the building of bridges of cooperation."

Thaci welcomed Croatia's leading role in the region. "We are an independent state and will control the entire territory. Illegal structures will be dispersed and face justice. There will be no tolerance. We are ready," he said.

The two prime ministers concluded that Kosovo-Croatia relations were exceptional. Thaci said Croatia was a friendly country and a Kosovo ally. He invited Croatian investors to invest in Kosovo, saying that all doors were open to them. "Croatia's experience on the road to the EU will be valuable to us."

Kosor said she was pleased that more than 70 business people representing 45 Croatian companies had come to Pristina to attend a business forum. It is expected that they will conclude many deals. "We haven't missed the investment train in Kosovo but have set today the cars and the locomotive that will pull the new train," she added.
