The spokeswoman for the Hague war crimes tribunal, Nerma Jelacic, said on Monday she doubted that Serbia would transfer former Bosnian Serb wartime military leader Ratko Mladic to the UN court today.
I doubt we will see him today, she said, adding the tribunal was still waiting for Serbia's notification about the extradition date.
Today is the deadline for appealing the extradition decision, she said, adding the date of Mladic's transfer would depend on how much the Serbian authorities needed to complete the procedure.
Acting ICTY president Mehmet Guney told the Anatolia news agency on Sunday that Mladic could arrive in The Hague on Monday or Tuesday.
We have no confirmation of that, said Jelacic.
