The Croatian Federation of Milk Producers' Associations (HSUPM) has announced that its members are suspending milk deliveries to dairy companies as of Monday.

We are continuing protests until our demands are met, HSUPM leaders said at a press conference in Zagreb on Friday. If any spontaneous blockades occur, it's because we cannot control the situation on the ground, they warned.

They questioned the agreement on the model of determining the purchase price of milk, reached on Thursday evening, saying that it was signed by the people who are not members of the Council for the Dairy Industry and that according to the rules they can attend Council meetings but without the right to vote.

"The agreement was signed by the minority that wants to impose their rules on the majority," HSUPM's chief negotiator Darko Pavicevic said.

HSUPM leaders said that the HSUPM represents dairy farmers who produce 450 million litres of milk annually.
