The management of the Croatian petrochemical group Dioki announced on Thursday that the Turkish company Caliskan had signed documents necessary to activate a bank guarantee and the payment of back salaries to the workers of Dioki and its company Dina.

Other documents necessary for closing this transaction are in the process of being harmonised and they are expected to be signed in the near future, Dioki said in the statement posted at the Zagreb Stock Exchange.

Commenting on the information that the Turkish investors had signed the documents activating the payment of a EUR 5 million advance for the back salaries, Dioki Supervisory Board president Zdravko Rumenovic told the media that this was in line with what had been agreed.

It is expected that the back salaries would be paid out by mid-next week and that the restructuring plan would follow.

Dina Petrokemija Union vice president Predrag Mihaljevic also expects that salaries would be payed out by the said deadline.
