The Croatian State Prosecutorial Council (DOV) on Tuesday relieved Visnja Loncar of duty as deputy state prosecutor at her request after Loncar's husband, Bozo Loncar, was arrested during a recent investigation into alleged bribery at the Zagreb Medical School on suspicion that he had tried to bribe a professor at the school so that he would let his son pass an exam.

Apart from Loncar's husband, another four suspects are also in custody due to the case of the attempted bribery.

The DOV today also relieved of duty three more prosecutors at their request.

Loncar is one of 20 deputies of Chief State Prosecutor Mladen Bajic.
