The Commercial Court in the coastal city of Split on Tuesday postponed until May 9 a decision on a proposal to launch bankruptcy proceedings in the case of the local producer of wine, alcoholic and soft drinks Dalmacijavino.

The decision was postponed so that Dalmacijavino workers could receive an answer from the government to their request that they be paid overdue salaries before bankruptcy proceedings were launched, just as workers of the Kraljevica shipyard had been paid their overdue salaries.

At its session of March 22, the government concluded that Dalmacijavino was overindebted and insolvent and that its drawing account had been blocked for a longer period of time, and that it should therefore file for bankruptcy.
