Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said on Tuesday he was in favour of normalising relations with Croatia, but "the other side" has not shown much interest so far.

ollowing his meeting with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Philip Reeker in Belgrade on Tuesday, Dacic said in an interview with B92 Television that "the ice should be melted" and a solution found to normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Zagreb.

"We must not let the ice in this relationship become thicker and thicker. A solution should be found for some sort of normalisation of relations with Croatia," Dacic said, recalling that during a recent visit to Zagreb by Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic had offered to mediate in dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

"My question is: Who will mediate in dialogue between me and Milanovic? I have been proposing and asking for that dialogue for several months, but there has been no reply. They are simply not much interested, and if they are not much interested, neither am I," Dacic said.
