A Croatian delegation led by President Ivo Josipovic on Sunday arrived in Israel for a visit to last several days.
Immediately upon his arrival, Josipovic was expected to meet the commander of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) on the Golan Heights and the Croatian troops deployed there.
During his stay, Josipovic will meet the highest Israeli officials - President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Parliament Speaker Reuven Rivlin.
He is also expected to visit Ramallah and meet with Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and PM Salam Fayyad.
The Croatian delegation visiting Israel also includes Foreign and European Affairs Minister Vesna Pusic, who will meet separately with her Israeli counterpart Avigdor Lieberman.
Talks between the Croatian delegation and Israeli officials are expected to focus on the strengthening of bilateral relations, notably in the economy, the Middle East peace process, and ways to enhance cooperation in science, technology and higher education.
