A summary of the 20 years of Croatia's road to development and the prospects of Croatia and the region in the next decade will be the topic of talks between the participants of the sixth Croatia Summit, to take place in Dubrovnik on Friday and Saturday, only a week after Croatia completed accession negotiations with the European Union.

The summit, "A New Decade for South East Europe – Finalising the Transition", will bring together heads of state and government, senior officials and experts to discuss economic management, security challenges in the wake of recent developments in the southern Mediterranean, and the Euro-integration prospects of Southeast European countries.

Some of the participants are Croatia's President Ivo Josipovic, Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor and Parliament Speaker Luka Bebic, prime ministers Yves Leterme of Belgium, Borut Pahor of Slovenia, Boyko Borisov of Bulgaria, Nikola Gruevski of Macedonia, Igor Luksic of Montenegro and Hashim Thaci of Kosovo.

The speakers on Friday will include Israeli Parliament Speaker Reuven Rivlin, the US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, William J. Burns, and the president of the EU Committee of the Regions, Mercedes Bresso.

On Saturday, three panels will be held, on investments, security in the Mediterranean, and EU enlargement.
