The revenue from foreign tourists who visited Croatia in the third quarter of 2009 was EUR 3.88 billion, or 15.7 per cent less than in the same quarter of 2008, according to figures released by the Croatian National Bank (HNB) on Wednesday.
In the first nine months of 2009 the revenue was EUR 5.77 billion, down 15.2 per cent over the same period of 2008.
HNB analysts said that the decline was the result of reduced spending by foreign travellers.
