Croatian fullback playing for Tottenham Hotspur, Vedran Corluka is facing a fine from FA following an altercation with a fan after Tottenham beat Stoke City this past Saturday

Corluka had a falling out with a fan following Tottenham’s 3:2 win against Stoke at White Hart Lane, where the Croatian right back lost his cool and called the assaulting fan an idiot. Spur’s assistant manager Kevin Bond was forced to step in and drag the Croat away.

According to one fan, Corluka had completely lost it. "He was like a man possessed. I was glad Kevin Bond came over and stopped him. Who knows what he would have done?"

The English media claim that Corluka did not swear at the fan, but was aggressive and may be fined by the FA. Since the FA demands purity in all things football, the Daily Star says Corluka will likely be fined.

Spur’s boss Harry Redknapp warned Corluka about his conduct:

"I'll speak to Corluka about it, but I don't understand why fans want to give one of their own players stick."
