The ruling coalition's Social Democratic Party (SDP) will hold an election convention on June 2 and a direct, secret ballot election for the party president on May 12, the SDP Main Committee decided on Saturday.
After today's session, Main Committee chair Josip Leko said the party's members would elect their president on May 12 on the 'one member, one vote' principle, in line with the party's statute.
On June 2, about 2,300 delegates will elect the party's vice presidents, presidency, Main Committee and supervisory body.
