Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Friday he expected Croatia to sign a treaty on accession to the EU this autumn and that he would personally bring the treaty to Zagreb before the signing ceremony.
I believe everything will be completed this autumn, Tusk said when asked by Hina when Croatia could expect to sign the accession treaty.
Tusk was speaking to a group of reporters in Brussels on the first day of Poland's EU presidency.
He expressed satisfaction with the fact that Croatia's accession treaty would be signed during Poland's EU presidency, underlining that he did not see any political obstacles to Croatia's integration with the EU now that the membership negotiations, the most difficult part of the integration process, had been completed.
