Polish ambassador: Croatia can count on Poland's support

The signing of an accession treaty with Croatia by the end of this year is one of the priorities of the ongoing Polish six-month presidency over the European Union and Croatia can count on Poland's strong support, Polish Ambassador in Croatia Wieslaw Tarka, said during his visit to Varazdin on Tuesday.

The signing of an accession treaty with Croatia by the end of this year is one of the priorities of the ongoing Polish six-month presidency over the European Union and Croatia can count on Poland's strong support, Polish Ambassador in Croatia Wieslaw Tarka, said during his visit to Varazdin on Tuesday.

Tarka arrived in that northern Croatian city to attend the presentation of the programme of the 41st edition of the Varazdin Baroque Evenings with Poland being the partner country. This year, Varazdin Baroque Evenings will be held from 23 September to 4 October.

Varazdin Deputy Mayor Zlatko Horvat thanked the ambassador for everything Poland had done to help Croatia to finalise the EU accession talks.
