The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) President Jadranka Kosor and the leader of the nonparliamentary party called the Democratic Centre (DC), Vesna Skare Ozbolt, on Sunday signed an agreement on cooperation between these two political parties for the period towards the 4 December parliamentary election and after the election.

Announcing the news about the concluded agreement, Kosor told a news conference in the HDZ headquarters that the document stipulated that the fourth-ranked candidate on the HDZ slate in the Constituency No. 6 would be allocated to DC candidate Vesna Skare Ozbolt and the DC would support all HDZ slates in other constituencies.

Skare-Ozbolt, who used to be a high-ranking HDZ official until she left that party and set up the DC in the early 2000s, said that today's agreement was the continuation of cooperation which the two parties had began a year and a half ago.
