A dozen Civic Action activists lit candles outside the election headquarters of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) after the party lost power in Sunday's election.
Criticising the HDZ government, they said they expected from the new one to launch structural changes in society, stressing that it was unacceptable that Croatia ranked 76th in the world in fighting corruption.
"This country and these people deserve a much better future," said one of the activists who declined to give his name.
