4,500 walk through Djakovo as part of folklore festival

About 4,500 participants from about 60 folklore groups from around the world took part in a procession through downtown Djakovo, eastern Croatia, on Sunday as part of the 47th annual Djakovacki Vezovi festival.

The procession included Maori performers from Auckland, who attracted the most attention, Burgenland Croats from Austria, Croats from Berlin, Croatian folklore performers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, performers portraying the folklore of all parts of Croatia as well as Slovakia, Ukraine, Serbia and Bosniak folklore from Sarajevo.
