Corbin Reiff, glazbeni novinar iz Seattlea, na 340 stranica kronološki prati život jednog od najboljih i najprepoznatljivijih pjevača svih vremena: od odrastanja i prvih bendova, sve do formiranja Soundgardena s kojim je '90-ih dominirao glazbenom scenom i popularnom kulturom, skupa s Pearl Jamom, Alice in Chains i Nirvanom, stoji u priopćenju. Nije zaboravljena ni Cornellova dinamična solo karijera, vrijeme provedeno u Audioslaveu i Temple of the Dog, kao ni problematične godine borbe s ovisnošću.
