Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk arrived in Zagreb on Friday for a visit during which he is to present his Croatian counterpart, Jadranka Kosor, with the English-language version of Croatia's EU accession treaty.
Kosor gave a dinner for the Polish guest in a government residence in Zagreb on Friday evening. The two prime ministers are also to meet on Saturday when the draft of the accession treaty will be formally presented.
The EU Committee of Permanent Representatives (COREPER) adopted the English-language version of the treaty in Brussels on Wednesday. The document is now to be translated into Croatian and all official languages of the EU and verified by legal and linguistic experts. This procedure is expected to be finalised by the end of October so the treaty could be sent to the European Parliament for approval.
