The first day of the Davis Cup world group quarter-final between Croatia and Serbia in the southern Croatian coastal city of Split on Friday ended in a 1-1 draw.
First, Novak Djokovic of Serbia beat Croatia's Ivan Ljubicic 7-6 (3) 6-4 6-1, after which Marin Cilic of Croatia beat Serbia's Viktor Troicki 6-4 7-5 6-2.
