The Czech parliament will vote separately on Croatia's EU accession treaty and Czech opt-outs from the European Chapter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms, the Czech government decided on Tuesday evening.

The conservative government of Prime Minister Petr Necas initially wanted to merge the two votes, and its latest decision reflected EU rules under which such votes cannot be merged, Austrian news agency APA said on Wednesday.

APA said that with this decision the ratification of Croatia's EU accession treaty was no longer in danger.
