The Harriman Institute of Columbia University said on Friday it had cancelled its cooperation with former Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader, who became a research fellow this year.
Sanader is no longer connected to the Institute. We have no further comment, said the University's Senior Public Affairs Officer, Tanya Domi.
Sanader was arrested in Austria on an international warrant on Friday afternoon in connection with corruption charges.
In September, Columbia hired him as visiting research fellow in the a programme for Southeastern Europe specialised for Russian, Eurasian and Eastern European studies.
