Hungary's Alba is still Medveščak's "black cat". Playing away in Szekesfehervar, Hungary, Alba defeated Zagreb's Bears 3:1

After four back-to-back wins, Medveščak hit a brick wall in the 45th round of the EBEL League when they traveled to Szekesfehervar to play Alba.
The Bears had only beat Alba once, just one month ago for the first time in ten years.
However, the tradition continued as Medveščak fell to the team they are fighting with for a playoff spot as Alba won 3:1.
This was the fifth meeting between Medveščak and Alba this season and Alba's fourth win. Leading up to the last ninth rounds of the season, Alba is one point ahead of Medveščak.
The Hungarians won on goals from Palkovics (0:51, 20:41) and Kogera (12:39), while Brad Smyth cut the gap short to 3:1 (41:29).
