The number of unemployed people in Croatia in May was 306,056, down 5.5% from April, according to the latest figures from the National Bureau of Statistics.
The number of the jobless, however, increased on the year by 2.5%, the Bureau said.
A total of 18,845 people were entered in the unemployment records in May, which was 0.6% less than in April and 20.7% less than in May 2011.
In the same period, a total of 36,511 persons were removed from the unemployment records, up 3.9% from April and 7.6% from May 2011.
