Croatian Agriculture Minister Petar Cobankovic told reporters in Zagreb on Saturday that he would not go to the eastern Croatian region of Slavonija and meet with disgruntled farmers, whose protest was organised by farmers trade union, saying there is no money in the state budget for new demands.
Cobankovic told reporters ahead of the 17th conference of the association of Croatian returnees he would not attend talks with protesters.
The minister said he understands the farmers' demands but that simply there is not any money in the budget.
