Asked by press on Tuesday if the oil company INA would be fined over yesterday's incident in its refinery in Sisak, Environmental Protection Minister Branko Bacic said one was waiting for the completion of the investigation into the causes of the fire.
Asked if the incident could have been averted, Bacic said the investigation into "this disaster" would establish that.
Asked if the residents of Sisak breathed clean air, he said, "At this moment, absolutely."
A fire broke out in the refinery on Monday morning and was put out at 13.45 hrs.
