The Croatian Foreign and European Affairs Ministry has launched a special web site, www.eu-referendum.hr, for the purpose of providing citizens with information on the EU ahead of the January 22 referendum on Croatia's EU entry.

In order to encourage a more direct dialogue with citizens, the ministry has also created Facebook and Twitter pages, at www.facebook.com/eureferendum.hr and www.twitter.com/eureferendumhr.

The web site dedicated to the EU entry referendum contains all relevant information and documents on Croatia's EU membership talks, information on the EU, referendum video messages by state officials and other video clips with relevant information.

The web site also contains materials with questions and answers on the impact of Croatia's EU membership on the lives of Croatian citizens, as well as all relevant publications on the EU and Croatia's accession process published by the ministry.

The site also contains technical information from the State Election Commission on the voting procedure in the forthcoming EU entry referendum. Also available are links to the ministry's Facebook and Twitter pages and Youtube channel (www.youtube.com/mveprh) as well as contact addresses at the ministry for those looking for information on various aspects of Croatia's future EU membership and a toll-free HALO EU phone line.
