The Croatian and Slovenian experts on the Ljubljanska Banka issue, Zdravko Rogic and France Arhar, who met in Zagreb on Tuesday, said that if the two governments accepted their conclusion, they would give their proposal concerning the resolution of the Ljubljanska Banka issue at their next meeting, scheduled to be held by the year's end.
Addressing the press after their fourth meeting, Rogic and Arhar said they still advocated the position on reactivating negotiations within the Bank for International Settlements in Basel and that they would inform their respective governments that the concept of the resolution with multilateral and bilateral components, drafted at their last meeting, was a good way to approach this issue. If both government agree, they would propose their solution to the Ljubljanska Banka issue at their next meeting which, according to unofficial announcements, should be held in Slovenia by the year's end.
Rogic told the press they had analysed the problem in detail and decided that the concept they agreed on at the last meeting was a good way to go ahead.
Arhar said the two parties would continue to search for a solution with which both countries would be satisfied.
