The Croatian Bishops' Conference on Tuesday ended its extraordinary two-day session at which it warned about the violation of the agreement between Croatia and the Holy See through attempts to reduce the number of religious classes in secondary medical schools and through other negative events that may affect enrollment in religious classes in schools, the Secretariat of the Bishops' Conference said in a statement.

The bishops will urge parents to more responsibly care for the religious education of their children and not to allow violation of their parental rights to the education and upbringing of their children in accordance with their own beliefs.

In attendance at the two-day meeting was the Apostolic Nunciature's charge d'affaires, Mauro Lalli.
