After Saturday's parade of the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community in the biggest Croatian coastal city of Split, the local police pressed charges in 161 cases for disturbing peace and for violations of rules of peaceful assembly, and they also pressed charges against three people for cannabis possession.

Seven rioters were detained in police holding cells overnight and will be brought before a magistrate judge later in the day, the Split county police said on Sunday.

The police are watching video records they made during the gay parade and checking other evidence in order to press more charges.
