The outgoing speaker of the Croatian parliament, Luka Bebic, on Friday gave a farewell reception for employees in the Sabor and reporters covering the work of the highest national law-making body.
In his speech Bebic said that after having been a member of the Croatian parliament for more than 20 years, he could say that the Croatian political life had stabilised.
"Major things have been adopted by consensus and this is great progress," Bebic said.
He said that the sixth parliament had done a big job, wishing a success in the work of the next, seventh parliament.
Bebic said he wanted the Sabor to continue developing good and friendly relations. He also thanked his associates in parliament and extended greetings for Christmas and New Year.
On behalf of reporters, Mislav Bago of the commercial NOVA TV station presented Bebic with a book with haiku poetry.
