7th int'l conference on forensics begins in Bol

The 7th conference on forensics, anthropology and medical genetics began in Bol on the southern Adriatic island of Brac on Monday, bringing together 550 participants and 75 speakers from some 40 countries.

The event was opened by renowned Croatian scientist Dragan Primorac.

The conference, which closes on June 24, was organised by the International Society for Applied Biological Sciences, the Mayo Clinic, Penn State and New Haven universities, and the universities in Rijeka, Split and Osijek.
