Croatian President Ivo Josipovic said in Brussels on Tuesday that he would agree to call a session of the National Security Council to discuss non-transparent capital and organised crime in the media, should such an initiative be submitted.

I have to admit I have not received such an initiative yet. If and when such an initiative is submitted, I will gladly agree that the session be called and I will insist, as I did the last time, that investigating agencies be well prepared, including the police, the security and intelligence agency and if necessary the State Prosecutor's Office (for the session), Josipovic told reporters who asked him if he agreed with Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor's Initiative to call the said session.

If you can recall, I have been pointing out since my election campaign that there are some media, which was proved by some investigations, where ownership stakes were gained by bags of money syphoned from places from which it should not have been syphoned - from public funds," Josipovic said.

On Tuesday Josipovic began his two-day visit to Brussels where he was attending the World Copyright Summit. Earlier today he held talks with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen. On Wednesday he is expected to hold talks with European Council President Herman Van Rompuy.
