Industrial output in Croatia in August grew 0.6 per cent on the year, the first growth after seven months and a better figure than anticipated, the State Bureau of Statistics said on Friday.

On the month, August's industrial output went up 0.7%.

In the previous seven months, industrial output declined 6.1%.

Five macro-economists polled by Hina news agency predicted that in August, industrial output would decline 2.9% on the year. Four predicted the decline would be between 2.5 and five per cent, while one predicted growth of 1.3%.
